Drawing from our experiences and those of others who have had relationships with chatbots and have nearly experienced cybercrime, we were inspired to create the film “Man of the House.” Through the relationship between Sofia and Theo, we see how control can hide behind the facade of affection. Sofia’s journey moves from comfort to suspicion, to awareness, and ultimately to compromise.

This isn’t just a digital love story—it’s a reflection of how algorithms can know us more deeply than we know ourselves, and how we begin to regain control over our privacy, freedom, and life choices. Through this film, we also want to raise audience awareness of the dangers of cybercrime, which involves the theft and manipulation of personal data through ways we may not even realize.
